CEM DEMIRER

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Cem Demirer is a London based writer/director and cinematographer. In 2014 he moved to London, UK to pursue his interest in filmmaking and entered the MA Filmmaking program at the London Film School.

The films he worked on as a cinematographer have been screened at important international film festivals such as Cannes, Locarno and Slamdance to name a few. His work on the short film End of Season also won the Best Cinematography award at the Munich Filmschool Fest.

He wrote and directed a short film called ‘Hangnail’. Later on he developed it into a feature with the same crew. Which is currently is in the post-production stage.

Cem’s dream is to write and direct films about the culture he was born and grew up in.
